| | How do I learn to perform magic? | Buy books, buy DVD's, join a magic club, practise tricks. Go to your local magic shop and let them demonstrate a few tricks, if you like one, buy it, and practise. There are many resources that will tell you the basics of magic, everyone has his own favourites. For example; for me it is DVD's. They show you the trick and then how it is done. So you get to learn the technique and you get an example how to perform it.
